It can be hard to show up to the gym everyday when your have no motivation. The key to showing up is not motivation it’s dedication to your goal.
Here is a few things that keep me motivated on days I don’t feel so disciplined…
1. Sticking to a curated plan
• I have an 8 workout program I wrote for beginners in the gym. I follow a 2 leg day 2 upper body week + 2 cardio & abs day. Sticking to the same routine keeps me from getting confused on what to do or making any excuse not to go.
2. Take a gym buddy 👯♀️
• There’s something about having my gym girly to hold me accountable for each set that just does it for me 👏🏾 If you can bring a friend or a sibling to push you through every set. Or just to chat about something fun 😊 works everytime
3. Daily affirmations:
Try saying affirmations to yourself daily that confirm you will show up for yourself. It’s not just about looking good it’s about giving yourself a goal and sticking to it for you. Show up for yourself like you do others. Here’s a few of my fav affirmations:
• I am strong
• I am working on myself for myself
• I don’t have to be extreme I just need to be consistent
• I can do anything I set my mind to
• I am stronger than any excuse
• I love being physically fit
