How To Connect To Your Inner Child 💕

I never gave much thought to inner child connection until a few years ago when I started my coming out process and realized how much my inner child needed some love 🥹💗

For me, inner child healing and connection has been something I’ve tried to just start integrating easily into most days in small moments - you don’t always have to do something big to heal your inner child

Sometimes I find running outside barefoot in the rain heals my inner child more than an entire hour long journal session

Inner child connection, at the end of the day, should feel fun!!

Here are some ideas to help you connect with your inner child:

🌼 rewatching favorite childhood shows and movies

🌼 recreating favorite childhood foods and dishes

🌼 allowing yourself to connect with nature even if you get dirty

🌼 focusing on JOY

🌼 swinging at the park

🌼 swimming in the ocean

🌼 playing pool games with my partner

🌼 jumping into water in my clothes

🌼 dancing in the rain

🌼 going barefoot

🌼 reading young adult novels

🌼 playing favorite childhood board games

🌼 making a fort in the living room

🌼 taking back up a childhood hobby

… the options are endless!!! whatever feels nourishing to your inner child - do that 💕

I’ve found that by doing this, it’s helped my anxiety, helped me accept situations and experiences from my past and have more fun in life xx
