Porto is a small city in the north of Portugal, and it’s considered the 7th best city in the world to visit. So here are my recommendations to not miss anything.

Things To Do 🎤

I highly recommend going to a Fado show. It’s traditional Portuguese music, and the best way to experience it is by going to a local restaurant and listening while enjoying some delicious wine and food.

Another thing you should do is visit the Livraria Lello. It’s the bookstore where J.K. Rowling found inspiration for the Harry Potter series. You should get there early to avoid long lines.

Must Eats 🥘

As someone who travels the world a lot and tries many different foods, I must say that Portuguese cuisine is one of the best. You should try the famous Pastel de Nata and Bacalhau, and since you’re in Porto, don’t miss their famous dish “Francesinha.”

Unique Places 🏞️

Porto is a charming city with beautiful and colorful houses, so I recommend going downtown to see everything. Walk across the Luís I Bridge during the day but also at night since is a totally different vibe and visit Mercado do Bolhão for a true Portuguese experience.
