Ingredients needed:
-chicken breasts
-one can of marinara sauce (any brand)
-loaf of french bread (preferably from Ingles or Publix)
-shake and bake mix (original chicken)
-Parmesan cheese
Serving size: fed 4 adults
Recipe:
-prep your chicken: wash and dry
-coat chicken with one pack of shake and bake mix, I like to put the mix in a big Ziplock bag and shake my chicken breasts inside until fully coated
-heat oven to 400F
-place chicken on pan lined with tinfoil and put in oven
-put your can of marinara in pot on the stove at medium heat, add Parmesan and stir occasionally
-check to make sure chicken is cooked (to see if chicken is fully cooked cut in half or check with thermometer, should be 165F)
-add marinara on top of chicken until fully coated and your desired amount of mozzarella cheese, place back in oven until cheese is melted
-cut your French loaf in half and cut however many subs you need per person
-put your chicken inside loaf and add more mozzarella cheese and marinara if you’d like
