It’s an exciting time to bring your baby home from the hospital! But if you’ve never done it before you might be wondering what it will be like.
They feel so fragile and little when you put them into the car seat for the first time! And no matter how close you live, it will feel like the longest drive home!
When you get home you will likely be very tired but also have a lot of adrenaline and it may be hard to sleep! It’s still important to rest and spend time bonding with your new baby!
Your baby will probably be pretty sleepy but they will wake up for milk! Around day 3-5 your milk will transition from colostrum to mature milk.
Around a week old their umbilical stub will fall off! Before that point you don’t want to submerge them in any water.
