Trendy Italian 📍moodmood

A new and trendy Italian restaurant at Petaling street by the team behind Gooddam. 🎄 Was here for the Christmas set and we added a few more of their popular dishes.

We had:

🥗 Burrata cheese with herb salad - simple and refreshing

🍄 Silk blanket - had high expectations on this but the taste fell kinda flat. Texture was good but truffle taste too mild, and the portion was really small for the price

🌊 Seared seabass - seabass was done nicely but the mushrooms at the side was too sour

🦐 Sa Fregula tiger prawn - this dish was really good! The risotto had rich flavour and prawns were plump and juicy.

🐓 Spring chicken - best dish of all! The skin was perfectly crispy on the outside and the inside was so tender and juicy and flavorful that I can say it’s the best roast chicken I’ve had so far. 🍟 Fries were amazing as well. Somehow for an Italian restaurant their non-Italian food stood out the most.

🍅 Tagliatelle with duck ragu - not memorable so I guess it’s ok?

🧀 Cacio e Pepe - a bit heavy on the cheese but ok

Overall the food is quite good (considered slightly above average) but just feel that it’s overpriced.
