A Cozy Cafe In JB

Hi everyone! We went to one of the Muslim-owned cafes and it's actually our first time visiting a cafe in JB. This place is located nearby Woodlands checkpoint so you can check it out if you're heading to JB!

📍 Jalan Storey, Bukit Senyum, 80300 Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia

✨ Initially, we were confused when we had to find the cafe from the drop off area as it was located nearby a residential area. The cafe didn't stand out too much, maybe that's why we couldn't identify it from the drop off area.

✨ Once we stepped inside, it had a modern, contemporary vibe with friendly staff greeting us. The cafe was empty by the time we arrived and we quickly ordered our food after scanning the QR code to see the menu. The menu is actually interactive and we could view how the dish would look like from their instagram.

✨ We went during lunchtime so the brunch menu was still available. Here are the dishes that we ordered and their prices:

💰 33.9RM for Big Ol' Breakfast

⭐⭐⭐ /⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: Scrambled eggs turns out to be the most delicious, the maple-glazed beef bacon is not bad and the sourdough, sautee shrooms turn out to be mediocre.

💰 25.9RM for Pancakes with Poached Pear

⭐⭐ /⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: Poached pear is delicious, the buttermilk pancakes just taste like normal pancakes. The rest of the fruits such as berries and bananas complimented the dish.

💰 25.9RM for Golden Cheese Sandwich

⭐⭐⭐⭐ /⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: I would say this is the best dish among the the rest we had ordered. The sandwich is crispy and it tastes cheesy and delicious.

✨ We didn't get the drinks because we weren't thirsty, but you can check out the drinks on their menu such as Caramel Macchiato for 15RM, Uji Matcha for 18RM, Classic Affogato for 13RM and more.

✨ Would we go again? Probably not because the food here is just mediocre. Though the place is aesthetic and we love the vibes here, we would prefer to try other cafes on our next trip to JB.
