DBT

this is not something for everyone. You may feel you need it, you may feel you don’t. If it’s been recommended to you, especially by your therapist that you trust and connect with, chances are you do but it certainly takes time, effort, and enough confidence to get to a place where you are ready to take on DBT therapy. Many don’t like the aspect in which that it is partially group oriented, and many are opposed to the in-person part of it. Though some are okay with it, it’s understandably not for all… which is why i wanted to share a few DBT workbooks i’ve found, that i plan on starting to work on a little bit each week, guided by my therapist. (NOTE: i picked these books out myself, ran them by my therapist, then purchased them myself for my own use!)

1. The dialectal behavior therapy skills workbook (in-depth for DBT)

2. the unwanted thoughts and intense emotions workbook (CBT + DBT combined)

3. DBT skills workbook for teens (basic skills guide and workbook)

4. Self Love Workbook for women (not dbt, but very helpful for those who may struggle with self love/image/confidence/etc)
