My boyfriend thought to do this and I think it is absolutely genius.

If you know me, you know I am ALWAYS trying to find good ways to isolate and target my quads.

Front supported movements (where you hold the weight in front of you instead of on your back) are a great way to do this.

In this movement you’re going to need a cable machine set all the way on the floor and a grip shaped like a V.

You’ll start in a squatting position to get your arms positioned correctly. You’ll want to tuck your elbows under and then hold the bar in sort of a cradled position.

Next you’ll rise up to a standing position. The leverage from the cable will pull you forward, so you’ll need to lean back and make sure your elbows really are tucked under at an angle where they are closer to the cable than your wrists are.

Once in a standing position, you’ll lower yourself back down in a squat until your thugs are parallel with the floor.

Once you’re done, lower into the squat position and flip your wrists inward to release the weight.
