Catching ‘the feels’?

The fall colors came with an explosion of creative passion. To say I went 28 years in life without seeing nature sing in a technicolor symphony is bing boggling.

Then the winds came, & I won’t lie. At first, seeing the hilltops go from copper and crimson to bare brown hit me surprisingly harder than I’d anticipated. This is after all my first year being in an area where the trees catch a colorful blaze through the seasons change. Three whole weeks. & not a day was taken for granted.

My phone storage is maxing out with hundreds of leaves, & there’s AT LEAST 4 rolls of film waiting to be developed. Again, all just of the land reminding me how vital the present moment is & how quickly things can change.

What was sadness for a moment turned to utter childlike glee as I flung fallen leaf after leaf over me & my pups head. A sunset walk to remember. It really is the simplest things that hold the most profound lessons.
