32 + NO KIDS! Living the dream?

I'm 32, married, and live in NYC with no kids. Is it living the dream? I don't think so. It's more like living selfishly.

My husband and I are able to maintain seperate and combined social lives. We work late when we want or have to because childcare isn't a concern. We travel all the time and have a second home outside of the city. We spend a lot of time there working and doing maintence because we Airbnb it out. When we are in the city we have late nights with friends. Life is nice but not lavish. We can spend how we want because we don't have to worry about child related expenses, but we don't throw caution to the wind. We keep pretty conservative M-F hours and have a very predictable routine. The older I get without kids, the more it feels like life is very similar to my 20s, except with a little more money and responsibility.
