Finding Peace in Lauterbrunnen 🇨🇭

In March, I hit another thing on my #BucketList by visiting #Switzerland . While we didn’t have much time to explore the village, I wanted to check out the famous Lauterbrunnen town, alongside Murren, another town some 800m above Lauterbrunnen. It’s a very quaint village surrounded by mountains and waterfalls

📝 What I did:

We spent under an hour walking around the village, before heading up a cable car to the village of Murren where we just admired Lauterbrunnen from way above. There’s also a funny little water fountain that you can drink from that streams fresh mountain water. Food is really expensive in Switzerland, so do pack some mini bites from the supermarket so you can eat as you maximize your time walking around. As a broke #student , dining in Swiss restaurants was NOT an option unfortunately…

The Swiss Rail Pass as always (which you can get via the official website or Klook!)

📷 Photography tip:

When shooting landscape photos, find “leading lines” to draw focus to your subject. Also using the surroundings to frame your subject helps to make your image pop a little bit more.

💡 Travel tip:

I mentioned it in my earlier post, but the Swiss Rail pass is essential when travelling out to places like this. I would suggest also packing a couple of villages or sights in groups that you can visit within a day to really maximise your Rail Pass and reduce travelling time (it can get really exhausting!)

Definitely didn’t get to see everything in Switzerland, but let me know what else is #WorthIt seeing in this amazing country!
