Michelin starred omakases don’t come cheap - be it in Singapore, or in Japan so believe me when I saw a Michelin starred omakase lunch in Tokyo(!!!) for $150, I booked it immediately for us to try. 🍣
My verdict?
The secret is not just the fish but also THE RICE. Ok you might be like DUH that’s literally the two main ingredients but hear me out. The shari (sushi rice) is just something you don’t get at an ordinary joint! We learnt that is because the shari is made from chef’s own blend of 2-3 types of vinegar. And the outcome? Phenomenal 😘
The dishes they serve were also unique and special - with some dishes I don’t see from other omakases! My favourites were the Kohada (gizzardshad), Tachiuo (belt fish) Uni w fried nori sushi (pic2), Barrucuda seaweed roll (pic 3) 🐟
