Haidilao - JB or SG?!🤔

Haidilao has been here in SG since 2012 and 2019 in Malaysia… but me have never tried at all until this year March… cos imo it’s just an expensive hotpot 🥲 easily cost you ~$50 for a damn meal… but I have tried their soup base at home before and the tomato soup is good! As I started working and feeling a lil bit boujee, I suggested haidilao late night date to my boyfie, and uk what? I was SO disappointed LOL.

Haidilao SG - We ordered 2 half-portion meat, half portion prawn paste, glass vermicelli, mantou and a rice (???? And etc…?)🥹 that’s like so little for the two of us but when we check the total amount, it’s hitting $80ish meaning ~$40/pax💀.. We understand that it’s Singapore and duh it’s gon be expensive but holy, I didn’t know it’s THAT expensive and given the portion we got, it’s just NOT WORTH IT HAHAH💔 (honestly seeing all the insta stories, I don’t get how people can always eat HDL with their friends, I’m gon be so broke lol)

The service there at 11pm was also terrible… I will not disclose which outlet we went but I thought HDL is known for their service??? I was so excited abt it cos it’s my first time there —— I was so disappointed! The sauce station is not topped up and i attempted making the Thai Sweet and sour sauce for prawn paste they don’t even have Thai chili sauce (which idk if it’s normal in SG HDL outlets, cos I saw it at the Msia HDL), and I can see the bottom of the container when I was getting salts… At first, the lady who was assigned to our table was so nice to us - greet us and all(provide apron etc.). However, after ordering food (not sure if I’m overthinking) but i felt a slight change in the attitude where she didnt really attend to us…maybe she lowkey judged us for how little we ordered lol🤨😂 ANYWAYS, I was SO disappointed that I told my bf so firmly that, “ I’ll never go HDL ever again.”

And here I am at MSIA HDL🤤… went JB for an errand trip but gosh now I can’t stop thinking abt HDL in JB🥹 Why didn’t I try it earlier!!! The conversion rate is insane LOL as a Malaysian I was shocked when I saw the final amount was $368 BUT WOW?! it’s only $50SGD for all the food we ordered!!! (See last photo) MAN, I’m willing to cross that border just to eat HDL again💘 We feel so happy with the good service attitude, cheerful staff and the amount of food we got there! We were so full but still got ourselves the desserts😂 - aiyu jelly and Pulut hitam, they were good as well!

All in all, you should try HDL in Msia at a cheaper price! Let me know what do u think below ❤️
