Ichiran Ramen in Taipei?! ✅🔥

I have tried the Ichiran Ramen in Osaka earlier this year and I really enjoyed the ramen!

So when I learned that there are 2 outlets in Taipei, I know I had to satisfy my cravings 😍!

GETTING THERE

The one I went to is the main branch, located near Taipei 101.

I took Uber so the driver dropped me off directly in front of the restaurant. From Taipei 101, it is a walking distance of around 7 minutes 🚶‍♀️🚶🚶‍♂️

Me and my friend chose a rainy night to have it as our supper hoping that the queue will be shorter, but we still waited around 35 minutes before we get seated. Imo still shorter than my waiting time in Osaka though 🤣

The order system is slightly different over here - where we wrote our order on a paper provided, then passed it to the staff when we were seated. In Osaka branch, we ordered the ramen by buying a ramen ticket with a vending machine then passing it to the staff when seated.

TASTE

The taste is consistent with what I’ve eaten in Osaka, and it is still as good as how I remembered it 🥰

This is also the only ramen that I could drink the soup to the last bit without feeling too ‘jelak’ (too much) 🤣 It is light yet flavourful even when I drank it on its own.

Noodle wise, I tried the ‘firm’ noodles this round, and I think I would order ‘extra firm’ next time, because the noodles got a bit too soft to my liking towards the end.

WOULD I RECOMMEND THIS PLACE?

Yes of course! Especially if you like ramen. The queue in Japan is usually insanely long, so its worth trying your luck here if you’re in Taipei.
