ANOTHER HOTPOT FIND😋🍲

i'm really a sucker for hotpot hahahahaha i can have it everyday NO LIE. soooo comforting😌

city hotpot isn't new in the game but i've never had the chance to try it and im glad i did!

i went to their new branch at causeway point (so new that there isn't the location tag here yet hahhahaha) and they were having a 10% off total bill😙

their menu is soooooo extensive omg we had sucha tough time deciding on what we wanted hahahaha settled on one of the set meals for 2 in the end! we don't take beef so they kindly agreed to swap the wagyu out for pork belly (we prob lost out lmao)😊

first up: soup bases!

i always make it a point to try the soup bases before cooking anything in it so as to try the og taste lol. we tried their tomato and they also had a milky fish soup base that was quite unique so we chose it! however... i found both soup bases to be on the bland side initially😅 it defo improved towards the later part of the meal after all the flavours have been incorporated (???) lolol.

was initially quite meh-ed by the bland soup base but realised that its actually not a bad thing since i always end up unable to drink the hotpot soup towards the end bc it gets too salty hahahhaa this one was just nice😚

next: ingredients🍱

as mentioned, HUGE variety. sooooo many choices of soup bases, veg, meat, pastes, sides etc. they even had xlbs! i ordered it to try bc I LOVE XLBS but honestly... skip them hahahhaa they took so long to arrive and were lacklustre☹️

oh and everything was vvvv fresh!!! esp the meat and seafood (which we topped up for)👍🏼

thirdly: condiments station🥫

what is hotpot wo the condiment station HAHAHAHHAAH they had a very good variety of sauces as pictured!!!!! well stocked too😊

last but not least: service👀

10/10 service!! everything was served v quickly (apart frm the xlb lolol) and they were also very friendly!
