Part two of my tips for building mental and physical strength, swipe through➡️

1. Moving your body will improve almost every aspect of your mental and physical health. Dancing around your room is just as valid as lifting heavy at the gym. Choose what you enjoy and stick to it. Remember that exercise is not solely for weight loss or changing your physical appearance - movement is medicine.

2. We are not in control of our thoughts but we can control how we react to and deal with them. Practice observing your thoughts and allowing them to pass. Practice gratitude and bringing forward positive thoughts and memories. Take the time to find a form of meditation and mindfulness that works best for you.

3. Everything is easier and more pleasant when you are well rested. Don't glorify sacrificing sleep. This will only be detrimental in the long run. Sleep is crucial to brain health, especially as you age. Don't push too hard now just to burn out and be unwell in the future. Find a bed time routine that makes you feel relaxed and ready to rest.
