Here's a simple recipe for chicken noodle soup:

Ingredients:

- 1 pound chicken breasts, cooked and shredded

- 8 cups chicken broth

- 1 cup chopped carrots

- 1 cup chopped celery

- 1 cup chopped onion

- 2 cloves garlic, minced

- 1 teaspoon dried thyme

- 1 teaspoon dried parsley

- 1 bay leaf

- 8 ounces egg noodles

- Salt and pepper to taste

- Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions:

1. In a large pot, heat some oil over medium heat. Add the carrots, celery, onion, and garlic. Cook until the vegetables are softened, about 5 minutes.

2. Add the chicken broth, shredded chicken, dried thyme, dried parsley, and bay leaf to the pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.

3. Meanwhile, cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.

4. Remove the bay leaf from the soup and discard. Season the soup with salt and pepper to taste.

5. To serve, divide the cooked egg noodles among bowls and ladle the soup over the noodles. Garnish with fresh parsley.
