Goldie's Guide to Post Grad

#lemon8diarychallenge : I've been thinking a lot lately of what I've learned so far, and that maybe it'll be helpful to someone one day!

GET OUTSIDE 💐

We can take the outside world for granted, which can lead us to feeling disconnected from nature and the wider earth as a whole. It'll be challenging trying to pull yourself away from those job boards, but take a moment to just put your hands in some dirt - it really does help.

TAKE STOCK 🚧

Figuring out what you've got going on in your life outside of Academic interests has helped me value the other parts of myself and my life. Scheduling time for friends, family, and hobbies has structured my post grad life in a way I thought would make me lose my sense of time, but it's just different, not bad.

EAT SOMETHING GOOD 🍲

This tip is so simple, just eat something good! Nourish your body, listen to what you like. I've found myself slipping into disordered eating during times of Distress as a way to control my time, but I urge you to let go of preconceived notions of good and bad food. Eat something that tastes nice, revile in it.
