Full Nusa Penida Guide | Pls don’t be like me 🥵

We bought a Klook package for private tour! (Thank goodness we did, read till the end to find out why!)

⏰ 6.30am: Picked up by our personal Klook driver from my accommodation > fast boat from Sanur to Nusa Penida (not that fast actually, it’s about 40 mins 🤣)

⏰ 9am: Snorkelling time! We went to Crystal Bay, Manta Bay, and Gamat Bay. All of these locations offer crystal-clear water and we saw colorful fish, turtles, and even manta rays!

BTW we were provided with the snorkelling equipment but PLEASE NOTE THAT THEY EXPECT YOU TO KNOW HOW TO USE IT. I was extremely lost as it’s my first time snorkelling + I don’t know how to swim…. The waves were also SUPER choppy making it hard to snorkel (really depend on the time and weather). Crystal Bay was the best!!

*NOTE: BRING SWEETS/ SNACKS WHATEVER EVEN IF YOU DO NOT HAVE MOTION SICKNESS. IT WILL HELP ALOT WHEN YOU NEED IT!

⏰ 12pm: Lunch included! 1 meal + 1 drink for each pax

⏰ 1.30pm: To Kelingking Beach, which is about a 40-minute drive from the main harbor. This stunning beach is known for its iconic T-Rex-shaped cliff and crystal-clear turquoise water! This is the place to see a lot of friendly monkeys too :)

You can also take a short hike down to the beach to enjoy the scenery and swim in the ocean!! Please note that the hike is VERY STEEP, so wear appropriate shoes and bring enough water! We didn’t do this though, because there wouldn’t be enough time to visit the other beaches!

⏰ 2.30pm: Head to Broken Beach, which is about a 20-minute drive away. This natural wonder is a U-shaped cliff with a beautiful turquoise lagoon in the middle.

We took a walk around the cliff's edge to admire the stunning view. Unfortunately, it rained in the morning so the sea wasn’t as clear! The waves here are super stunning tho!

*NOTE: The roads are so broken I had a headache from the bumpy car rides…. Please bring Panadol just incase!

⏰ 3pm: Head to Billabong Beach, which is only a few minutes away from Broken Beach. This beach is known for its natural infinity pool that overlooks the ocean. This one is really super pretty! I even saw people risking their lives by sitting at the edge of the cliff to take picture…

⏰ 3.30pm: We requested to end the tour an hour earlier to catch the 4pm boat back instead because there isn’t anything else to do anymore! Plus we were all so tired from the car rides… Ferry took 1 hour back because of bad weather 🤧🤧

TLDR TIPS AND TRICKS:

✅ Choose private tour so you don’t have to wait for the rest

✅ Bring sweets and snacks for motion sickness

✅ Bring insect repellent (we got bitten by mosquitos quite abit…)

✅ Bring FRESH CLOTHES to change into after snorkelling / swimming

✅ Bring TOWEL to wipe down after you rinse yourself in the open showers (I can’t believe we didn’t LOL)

✅ Bring Panadol incase of headache from sitting in the car too much (freaking bumpy roads)

✅ Bring umbrella incase it rains!!! Gosh this is so so important (we had to run in the rain LOL)

Would I go back again? Not anytime soon! But should you go? Yes! Definitely at least once BUT MAKE SURE YOU SAVE THIS POST SO YOU CAN BE MORE PREPARED. Don’t be like me 🫠🫠🫠
