What is maladaptive daydreaming and the Harm

Maladaptive daydreaming is an excessive amount of fantasies Throughout the day. maladaptive daydreaming is behind( the spirit of Fantasies) This leads to sin which leads to death ( idolatry) When you are constantly in this imaginary world of desires you may be putting that above God . The spirit of fantasy either wants to keep you in the past or thinking ahead in the Future. every Time you daydream that you are the main actor everything revolves around you and not Yahweh that is an issue { Everything outside of Gods will must submit to him} you should find out what is the root of your daydreams and cut it out if its secular music cut it out . if its following people of the world on instagram and you feel like you’re getting influenced unfollow them. Movies smutty books etc … Maladaptive daydreaming keeps you isolated and feeling productive the enemy will get you isolated thats when your the most vulnerable and not in Gods word. When you’re constantly daydreaming of the future you wont know how to love God in the present or be Grateful for the blessings he gave you. if you are fantasizing about a person or a ex from years ago it will be hard to let go because you are falling in Love with the fantasies and not the actual person. So you Get upset every time they don’t treat you right , Or when God doesn’t answer the fantasies you created in your head. That’s exactly how the enemy Gets you to think God is small when in reality ( Genesis 18:4 Luke 1:37)

Every time you catch yourself subconsciously fantasizing Rebuke them because Jesus gave us authority to cast down strongholds (2nd Corinthians 10:5) Make every thought submit to God. Create a par-ten to train your mind every time this happens by using your tongue( Proverbs 18:21) So cast down every thought that is not of God. Listen to Gospel music so your mind doesn’t wander ( Gospel music cast down these imaginations because you’re constantly in the presence of God hearing his words pray throughout the day) When you fantasize your leaving God. The lord is going to fulfill what he wants over your life not your fantasy. The choices you make in your present determines your future .
