If you are looking for a new place to eat Japanese food and have some drinks in town, consider trying out Buta Kizoku, a new Japanese Izakaya that just opened at Bugis๐ฎ. They have an opening special โSpin to winโ wheel that is a sure-win spin for things like free sides, drinks and skewers too ๐!
With skewers starting from $2 ๐ข, they offer a wide variety of flavours like chicken, mushroom, cheese series ๐ง and many other in-house made sauces! Personal favourites would include the mentai cheese, avocado tartar collar & tartar sauce collar ๐คค. Apart from their wide variety, most of their skewers are bigger in size compared to normal skewers that you will usually find in other stores, making it worth your moolah ๐ฐ!
They serve onigiris ๐ย with salmon or charsiew fillings and had this charred, crispy top that tasted like a wang wang biscuit which I found quite interesting. Other fried sides include gyozas and ebi and tori octopus karaage ๐. I found the karaage to have a nice crispy texture and be sure to dip it into the mayo sauce provided. One thing you wonโt wanna miss out on is their in-house kizoku highball that goes very well with all the savoury food ๐ป. We tried their signature passionfruit and mango kizoku highball but mango ๐ฅญ was my fav (even ordered twice cause it was SOO refreshing ๐คฃ)!
Overall, food here generally leans more to the saltier side hence you would definitely wanna get the onigiri and more drinks to balance it out but still a good place to dine at with friends and family for dinner ๐ . Do take note of the cover charge that everyone has to pay upon entry: $6 (1 Juice + 1 Starter) or $10 (1 Highball + 1 Starter) ๐.
