Here is how you can get to Mykonos:

✨ by plane

The easiest way to get to Mykonos is by plane. The island has its own airport with multiple daily flights from Athens and other major European cities like Amsterdam, Paris, Munich or Barcelona.

✨ by ferry

Alternatively, you can take a ferry from Athens or other nearby islands like Paros. You can book tickets on ferryhopper.com. During high season popular routes can be sold out, so book your ticket in advance. Overall, I had never an issue taking the ferry. However, weather conditions can affect ferry routes. During high season, you should arrive about 45 minutes prior departure.
