My Favourite Generous-Serving Taiwanese Fare

My all-time favourite Taiwanese place - till date, I still have not found a better replacement for the 盐酥鸡 (Salt Pepper Chicken) served here! This place serves their food in generous portions, at an affordable price tag too, so definitely check this place out.

I had my go-to, the 盐酥鸡饭 (Salt Pepper Chicken Bento) that comes with a side of pickled vegetables, braised tofu, braised egg and a huge serving of chicken! The best part of chicken is that it’s not only crispy, juicy (as it should be), but it’s not greasy at all! So you don’t feel too guilty having it. 🤣 Something about this whole set that just makes it very hearty, and homely. ❤️

The other set we got is the Lee’s Signature Rice. It’s a mixed of both Salt Pepper Chicken and Braised Pork 卤肉, so you kinda get the best of both worlds. 🤟🏻 For those who are a fan of Braised Pork Rice, and love variety you ought to try this! The braised pork is soft, and melts well into your mouth with each bite, not forgetting the braised sauce soaking the rice 😮‍💨 With the same sides served, you are bound to walk off with a happy tummy. 🫡

We also got an extra side of Cold Tofu and Century Egg, and a cup of milk tea to complete a full Taiwanese meal. The milk tea however, is quite sweet, so I would recommend that unless you have a sweet tooth, you could give this a miss!

The last to point out, this place may be a little out of the way for most since it’s nestled quite into the west side, but definitely do give this place a try if you have the chance or are nearby!
