Plus size bride to be.

I have started my wedding dress hunt and ngl it’s been quite underwhelming.

I cannot begin to describe how many bridal stores I have been to and they have such beautiful gowns but they cater up to a size UK 12 max. 🫠

And, if you are currently planning for a wedding or have already done your, you’d know that saving where you can is super important.

Unfortunately, most gown shops I’ve spoken been to don’t carry sizes on hand larger than a UK14 and if I wanted to rent / buy a gown from them I’d need a “made-to-order” gown, which adds up to the cost as opposed to getting something off the rack which could be more than half the price!

This is something I wasn’t aware of until I started planning my wedding.

Its 2024! WE NEED TO BE SIZE INCLUSIVE AS WELL. We need to have more options for plus size gurlies like myself and we deserve to feel great and sexy on our wedding day. 😙✌🏻

I just hope to see more brands bringing in more plus size gowns that *actually* look as good as those gowns that they offer up to UK12. ❤️

P.s. I’ve also started looking at BUYING my wedding gown instead bc of how expensive plus size gown rentals are.
