hii zesstiesss,,
I’d like to share my journey from being an engineering diploma graduate to a current finance degree student. ✨
I graduated with a diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering in May 2023. My path wasn’t easy, as I was never truly interested in this field. In one year my GPA dropped from 3.2 to 2.9. I was soo sad 🥲
I had hopes to pursue accounting-related courses, but I was offered EEE due to achieving B3 in English for my 'N' Levels.
Instead of going to Sec 5, I opted for the Polytechnic Foundation Programme (PFP), where I enjoyed learning through coursework and projects. Despite finding engineering challenging, particularly with the technical and programming aspects, I took every chance to study business courses as electives, from accounting to HR and business negotiation. This helped spark my interest in business.
Though engineering was difficult for me, I made many wonderful friends who supported and guided me throughout the four years. In Year 3, I specialized in biomedical engineering, driven by my interest in medical appliances and their impact on patient care.
I also had the chance to work at B Braun, a leading medical technology company, but that’s a story for another day.
On my last year, when i tell yall i cried studying all my papers, i did not sleep before my papers, BELIEVE ME. i cried and cried till i get ready to leave the house. (i had 4 mods.. soo i cried 8 times in a year.. 4 during MST & 4 during EST) 🥲🤡
Despite the struggles, I managed to raise my GPA above 3 and graduated. Looking back, I don’t regret studying engineering at all; it provided me with valuable knowledge and insights that benefit me in both engineering and business.
Thank you SP, for the amazing four years & for making me cry! ❤️👩🎓
