Sedap Thai could be your go-to place.
Located on the first floor of Berseh Food Centre, Sedap Thai is a Halal certified Thai-style Steamboat that offers an affordable All-you-can-eat buffet ($22/pax). You can choose from a wide range of marinated meats like garlic chicken, black pepper chicken/beef, teriyaki chicken, fresh beef to vegetables, meatballs, egg and even Munchies like Cheesy Chix Hotdog and Cheese Tofu.
There are two soup options for the steamboat section; choose either chicken soup or tom yum soup for that extra kick. Being half Thai, I opt for their tom yum soup since Tom Yum Soup is mostly associated with Thai food. After a few sips, I found their tom yum soup a little on the salty side. Nonetheless, the tangy and savoury broth makes the noodles and vegetables more appetizing and warming which is perfect for a cold rainy night.
I likened their Nam Jim Jaew (the more herby, tangy garlicky sauce) more while dipping the meat as compared to Nam Jim Su Ki (thicker red chili paste/sauce). Nam Jim Jaew cuts down the greasiness of the meat thus making them more palatable.
Thank you @thaisedap for the food and warm hospitality, and @scalemicroinfluncers for the invite
P.S. If you are planning to visit Sedap Thai on Friday/Saturday evening, be sure to WhatsApp them before heading down as it might get really crowded especially the tables next to the ATM machine.
