Reno Decisions: Painting our beams and pipes

When your ID suggests painting the beams to enhance the quirkiness, you say YESSSSSSS 🙌🏽✨ The creative director of our ID suggested we paint the beams a different pastel colour to enhance the quirkiness of the house.

But since the house was already colourful because of our decor, we didn’t want too much colour added that it becomes too much. We really liked that white was the main colour with pops of bright colours here and there. We communicated that to our ID and she made sure not too much was done. Just little painted areas here and there to elevate the home.

We got the main beam in the living room painted in pastel pink and the beam of the archway corridor painted pastel yellow. We loved it so much that we asked the painter to paint the pipes in our service yard as well. Initially this wasn’t part of the plan.

We really loved the outcome! They’re like little cute highlights around the home 😍✨
