BLACK SESAME HEAVEN 😌🖤👼

as a certified black sesame lover, here are some of my BIGGEST recommendations for the BEST black sesame treats in sg!

1. black sesame soya ice cream from THE BETTER SCOOP 🍦🍨

this was originally a small and cosy ice cream shop known as Just Because Creamery, but now they’ve expanded to another outlet in serangoon! their black sesame ice cream is one of the most fragrant and richest ones i’ve tried. there’s a very prominent bitter and nutty flavour, which is complemented by the unique taste of soya milk too and they actually go really well together! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

2. black sesame bun from MAMA PATISSERIE 🥯

visuals look amazing, especially that cross-section! but tbh would have preferred even more black sesame filling cuz its quite little (but looks like a lot). the filling was made of both black and white sesame seeds, so it had the signature gritty and grainy texture. however, i would have preferred it to have a more bitter and nutty taste 👅 ⭐️⭐️⭐️

3. black sesame min jiang kueh from @Munchi Pancakes 🥞

BEST BEST BEST 🖤🖤🫶🏻🫶🏻 i really loveee this pancake so much, and i always make sure to get it on fridays (so its free cuz of DBS paylah cash back!) pancake itself is always chewy and never too dense, get the charcoal skin for added blackness (but tastes the same tbh HAHA) 🖤 they are always SO GENEROUS with the black sesame filling, the pancake is always bursting 💥 and the filling is so bitter, nutty, grainy and very delicious 🤤 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

4. black sesame pau from JUST DOUGH

RIP 🪦 just dough.. will miss u 😢 but their black sesame steamed bun was so good too, bun was always fluffy and their filling is the most natural and full of the bitter flavour 🤤🖤 hope they come back to sg one day 🤞 (i dont have a pic but their buns are too good to not include)
