my hacks to abs:
- CONSISTENCY
abs will not come over night but if you follow the necessary steps, you’ll see them in no time!
- train core 3-4x/wk
pilates and deep core exercises are key to the 11 line abs!
training abs too often can result in a boxier look
- reduce inflammatory foods
pay attention to what makes you bloat! (often sugar, dairy, processed foods, red meat..)
keep them to a minimum! follow the 80/20 rule (80% good whole foods, 20% whatever u want)
- engage core when lifting
think about squeezing your core
strengthens core and helps form
- HYDRATE
drink lots of water!! it reduces bloating and stops you from holding water weight. plus will help with hunger cues
- cut liquid calories/reduce sugars
cirkul is my fav way to do this! it gets me to drink water bc it’s SO flavorful. you can get electrolyte/energy infused cartridges
lets me get in so much more water
- eat well + increase fiber
eat in a deficit if needed, but make sure ur getting ur nutrients in!
fiber helps digestion, reduces bloating, and helps absorb necessary nutrients
- PROTEIN!
eat 1g/pound of body weight.
lean protein is best here. i’m a big fan of ground turkey bc it’s soo versatile.
protein helps build muscle!!
