Was on my bucket list for the longest time and I knew that it had to be the first country I fly to after covid. I mean after saving up for 2 years I was finally ready for the most magical (and expensive) country ever.

For first timers, here are some recommendations from my 3 week stay in heaven:

1. Lucerne

3. Montreux (day trip)

Some other tips:

✅ Definitely recommend driving if you can, Switzerland is a relatively small country and you get amazing views at every turn

✅ Get the Swiss Travel Pass , transport is expensive and this will save you lots of money if you plan your route right, plus it's just extremely convenient

✅ Get an Airbnb with a kitchen, food in restaurants are extremely expensive (we talking SGD50 for a main dish at a casual restaurant that doesn't even taste great)

✅ Bring a water bottle everywhere, there are tons of water fountains in every city that you can refill from and it will be the best water you have ever tasted

Total I spent on this trip was about 10k/person

I'm not exactly the most budget traveller so you can definitely spend less if you want to, but note that it is an expensive country
