Permanent Bracelets: was my $159+ WORTH IT? 💸😳

Permanent bracelets have been on the rise lately, with many new shops in Singapore offering this unique service. 🤩 The idea of a permanent bracelet was super intriguing - it seemed to be a perfect bestie/couple activity, so of course, me and my friends had to try it out! 👯‍♀️

While researching, we were torn between several different places (that offered different price points), but we settled on Curious Creatures despite the higher prices ($100+ vs. under $100 options). 😳

𝑾𝒉𝒚 𝒘𝒆 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒅 𝒊𝒕:

✅ 14k SOLID gold

This was a plus point that many other stores didn’t offer (other places did gold-plated vermeil etc.), which are of lower quality compared to the solid gold pieces that Curious Creatures offered.

✅ Friendly and comprehensive service

The staff was very friendly and attentive, she offered a lot of assistance in helping us decide on the chains, colours etc., and was very detail-oriented in measuring out the chains and during the welding process. 🤭

She also made sure that we were comfortable with the bracelet lengths and even went as far as to re-weld the bracelet for my friend after she changed her mind and wanted a longer bracelet length! 😊

✅ Little to no aftercare/maintenance

Since the bracelets are all solid gold, they’re v low maintenance and we can expose it to water, soap etc. without worrying at all! They’re also vv durable (the staff also made sure to do a pull-test to ensure that it didn’t break apart). 👌🏼

❎ Sizing

Ngl, when we first saw the thickness of the bracelets I was quite shocked bc they looked vvvv thin and flimsy - and they are indeed very thin when placed on the wrist! Not entirely a dealbreaker, but I wished they offered more variations of thicknesses. Similarly, the sizes of the charms were also crazy small (as seen from the one my friend got). 😵

❎ Price

The price was indeed quite expensive, especially for the size and thickness of the charms and chains. 😣😣😣 Though I would’ve wished it were a tad bit more affordable, the quality and service did make up for it.

The experience was definitely WORTH IT. ✌🏼 I had a super great time with my friends there and we rlly enjoyed the whole process from picking out the chains to the welding process. 🥰

I’ll definitely recommend Curious Creatures if you’re interested to get your permanent bracelets - they’re also located very closely to the Tanjong Pagar area so you can 100% have a vv fun date checking out the cafes nearby before/after getting your bracelets! 🌷
