YES, this Sichuan restaurant was FULL on a rainy Sunday evening!!! I was (legit) shocked because the route leading to the restaurant was not sheltered + the rain was pretty heavy so I really wasn’t expecting to see a crowd HAHAHA but good for the restaurant I guess~ 🫶🤭

Anyways, if you’re looking to #SavourTheMoment with your friends over a hearty sichuan meal worth your calories or simply a place by the scenic Singapore river to chill away your #AdultingWoes, you’re gonna love this restaurant 🤩

I found this super interesting because you can mix and match the items that goes into the pot! These are the two options:

A — One fish with two flavours 🐟 OR

B — Double Delight with two options of either Grilled Fish, Crayfish, Lamb Spine or Braised Chicken with Potato & Green Pepper 🐟🦞🐑🐓

We obviously chose the double delight because HELLO THERE’S CRAYFISH AKA THE DOUYIN FAMOUS 小龙虾 (xiao long xia)?!?!

(Ok holup!!! DISCLAIMER— I’m a crayfish hater LOL so whatever you’re gonna read is really my honest take on the ones I had here 🤪)

I’ve had pretty bad experiences with crayfishes but the ones here were surprisingly so yummy and kinda sweet?!?! There were two choices of flavours, Mala or Garlic, so we chose garlic because we just know we can’t stomach mala 🤡

Omg and I kept telling my boyfriend how good the Braised Chicken was lmao IT WAS SO TENDER AND ROBUST I wiped out half the pot of chicken myself HAHAHAHA mad slay 10/10 food~

We ordered Onion Omelette because…what can go wrong with egg right? And I’m so glad that we were right hehehe the omelette was sooooo yummy and fluffy I had to add it to my scoop of rice everytime just like a ritual lmfaoooo 😂 OH and we finished this within 15 minutes HAHAHA too good 🤭

From $1.50 each, y’all can also order some Sichuan-style skewers (don’t expect it to taste like loklok hor it’s not loklok) 😋 We got the beef, chicken and sausage skewers hehe nothing too special but we enjoyed pairing it with our egg and rice 😙

With this nonsense weather and ongoing flu season, y’all needa drink more honey lemon to sooth your throat!!!

We ordered their homemade iced honey lemon and was quite shocked at how light it was 🤣 Turns out we didn’t stir the drink enough for the honey to mix with the drink LOL

If you like something light and not too sweet, this iced honey lemon is for you <3

Having visited on a rainy evening, I’d say that the vibes were great (minus the rain) because you’ll get to chill by the river and watch the boats pass by HAHAHAHA 😀👍

Food wise— exceeded our expectations! Really wasn’t expecting much because of their google reviews but we legit enjoyed ourselves and 100/10 will be back again if we’re craving for some authentic and tasty Chinese food ❤️🤤
