In the mood for traditional desserts? 🤤

When my husband and I first stumbled upon this shop, it was closed because of Chinese New Year. But the place had a nice facade and so we told ourselved we should come back and try their desserts. We were so happy we did because we were not disappointed. 🫶🏼

Cendol- $3.2

We are both big fans of cendol ever since we tried it. I love how their gula melaka have this slightly burnt taste- like almost caramelized consistency. I don't know if it were the green jellies or the coconut that had a hint of saltiness to it, and that contrast made it more interesting. We both loved it! 🥹🤤

Black Glutinous Rice with Ice Cream- $4.5

My husband really wanted to try this dessert because he really loved the Potong black glutinous ice cream. He wanted to taste the real thing. We enjoyed this as well. We thought we would find it too heavy because we have just eaten dinner at Maxwell and went straight to Hup Ka Foon, but we were still able to finish these two desserts. 😭

I think I wanna bring friends here should they visit Singapore since it felt really homey inside, which makes it an ideal break between tourist spots, or an ideal "night cap" from a long day of exploring.
