i found ah chew desserts in katong

my bf and i visited Jin Yu Man Tang Dessert while walking around katong today!!! idk WHAT is up w the weather recently but the afternoon heat was KILLING me and we rly needed our dessert fix to chill…

🍡 this is one of the more affordable dessert spots in the area (compared to the acai/ice cream waffle places) however, it is slightly pricier than the usual price for traditional desserts

🍧 mango with mini rice balls ~($7+)

i ordered this mainly bc of the mini glutinous rice balls… even tho it’s q tasteless, I RLY LOVE IT SO MUCH esp the mochi texture 😭 does anyone understand me 🗿

the mango taste was q strong bc i ordered it wo milk 😋 tbh i like it better that way too!!! but the thick consistency made me more thirsty 👺 the bursting boba kinda makes up for it cus of the liquid inside, also i ordered ice water so it was fine!

🍧 mango sago pomelo ~($6+)

my bf’s review is that the pomelo is very bitter but the sweetness of the mangoes balance it out. the puree has milk but almost 0 milk taste (which he prefers), it just tasted less mango-ey compared to mine

⭐ Rating: 7/10, would go again if i’m in the area and craving dessert!
