trying out the viral cafe in bugis?!

hii, been a month since my last review but i finally decide to check out the new viral cafe located near bugis! this place kept popping up on my tt fyp so much that i had to give it a try and see what the rave is about 💪🏻

the cafe was located at a quiet district along the concourse skyline, it has a sleek and modern exterior. the minimalistic black frames and clean, white-gray metallic walls create a contemporary look 🙂‍↔️

1. smashed avocado ($19.9++)

rating: 3.5/5 🌟

description: it was my first time properly trying avocado, so i was a bit skeptical about whether i’d like it or not, but it actually exceeded my expectations! the texture was creamy, and the taste was subtle but enjoyable 😙however, i wasn’t a big fan of the feta cheese, which overpowered the avocado a bit too much for my liking 😕 the toasted sourdough was a pleasant surprise — crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and perfectly toasted on both sides!

2. fried cauliflower ($15.9++)

rating: 4/5 🌟

description: the fried cauliflower was coated in a rich, flavorful blend of vadouvan spice and miso caramel that adds a slight sweet and savory kick which i absolutely LOVE 🤩 it’s one of those dishes where you keep eating then stop to think, “is this healthy because it’s cauliflower or is this just too delicious?” 🫣

3. pesto chicken linguine ($23.9++)

rating: 1/5

description: i didn't get try this dish, but based on my friend's feedback and the horrid on our faces after seeing a mini pool of oil under the pasta (3rd pic), it's a big NOO 🤢 the pasta itself might have looked promising at first glance, but according to my friend, the taste just didn’t deliver. safe to say, this dish was a disappointment, and i definitely wouldn’t recommend it 👎

this cafe definitely felt overhyped, other than the ambience, the food didn't quite live up to expectations. overall, it was an okay experience, but not something i’d come back for.
