BUBBLE SKIRT TREND: YAY OR NAY? 🧐🫧

Balletcore styles were everywhere last year and yet another ballet-inspired element has made it to everyday wear lol- this one might be even more controversial- BUBBLE SKIRTS🤓🫧

I was extremely against this silhouette initially because what I saw on recent runways were maxi/ midi styles, like parachute skirts (which I really dislike on my body- they don’t suit me at all) 🙃🙃

But I’m seeing a lot of shorter hemlines for summer trends and I am cautiously here for it!!🫡

What I love in the recent styles of bubble skirts:

- Minimal cuts, modern look✨

- Easier to mix and match with everyday fits

- Shorter hemline, often as a skort for easy wear without flashing everyone

PAIRINGS:

I think these skirts look really cute with tailored tops eg vests, off-shoulder knit pieces, or with crop tops and a large oversized blazer or patterned shirt.

I’ve also seen people make them more maximalist by adding a metallic or chunky belt, but I’m sticking to a simple look for daily wear for sure! 👌🏼
