5 IDs we talked to + our final choice!

Hi zesties!!

My partner and i just got our resale keys awhile ago and we’ve been talking to/meeting several IDs the past few months! Thought it’d be useful to do a quick review of them for fellow zesties who’re on the reno journey too🫶

We actually went to the hitcheed ID fair in April and that’s where we met 3 of them! Another 2 were found via social media!

1) The Interior Place

The very first ID we met! We were assigned to S.T at the hitcheed event and i’d have to say first impressions weren’t too great😬 She seemed kinda uninterested and after the event she was supposed to reach out to us with the floorplan proposal + quotation but she didn’t😅 So yeah immediately out of our considerations!

2) Key Concept

Was assigned Y.L as our ID at the hitcheed fair! She was pleasant and listened attentively/noted down all the items we were looking for, so first impressions was not bad! She also reached out to us promptly after the event. However due to personal matters she took abit longer than expected to get back to us with the floorplan proposal and quotation, so by that time we’ve already talked to a few more IDs and were gonna make a decision soon alr😅

3) The Interior Lab

Also talked to them at the hitcheed fair! Was assigned Y.H who was quite quirky😬 He was quite detailed in his explanations of what he thought would/wouldn’t work and seemed like he knows his stuff fairly well! He also followed up promptly after the event and did up multiple floorplan layouts and quotations for us after we met in person a second time, which we appreciated very much! However pricing wise this firms’ quote was on the higher end🥲

4) Chengyi Interior

Found them on IG, liked their aesthetics and reached out to them on qanvast! Was assigned K from their team and he was very responsive in his replies, scheduling a zoom meeting + meeting in person as well as doing amendments to the floorplan layouts! We could tell that he was very enthusiastic and keen on working on the project as he texted us many times to follow up…..😅 However pricing wise it was nearly the same as The Interior Lab’s, which is 10k+ more than what we mentioned as our budget🥲

5) Comfort Home Interior

Found them on IG and reached out via qanvast as well! Aaron (the boss of the firm) reached out to me very promptly and replies super fast! We only communicated via whatsapp initially but it went quite ok and he did up floorplan layouts + quotations very efficiently as well. Turns out that my colleague’s friends and family engaged them too and had a good experience so that was a major plus point! As Aaron was overseas, i met up in person with one of his designers R, and it went quite well. We found their quote and pricing to be the most reasonable out of all the quotations we’ve seen and it’s within our budget🥹 As such it was a clear decision! So yes we went with Comfort Home Interior as our ID in the end!
