Iced Frothy Ube Latte

So who wouldn’t want to know what these cute trending purple lattes taste like? I had to try for myself so I ordered Ube extract that I found on Amazon. Ube is a purple yam so essentially Ube extract is purple yam flavored extract.

My honest review… this needed a sweetener for sure. I wasn’t loving the flavor that came through just by itself mixed in the milk. So I added vanilla and it tasted pretty good. The Ube flavor seems very subtle. Maybe there’s a better product out there with a stronger Ube flavor… I’ve also seen it in powder forms as well. I wouldn’t drink it everyday but maybe every once in a while for something different. Let me know if you have any Ube product recommendations ♥️

Ube Latte Recipe

Ingredients

2 shots espresso

8 oz milk of choice

2-3 drops Ube extract, I used butterfly brand

2 tsp vanilla syrup

Optional - Chocolate drizzle

Ice

1. Combine milk, vanilla syrup and Ube extract in a pitcher.

2. Mix well until combined. I used a handheld frother for this.

3. Pour ice in glass.

4. Pour in Ube milk mixture next.

5. Pour in espresso.

6. Optionally - Top with chocolate drizzle.
