LAVO honest review ⭐️

Went to LAVO to celebrate my friends birthday recently! Here’s an honest review of lavo and whether it’s worth the splurge 💰

Before you go, prepare to spend at least $50-70 per person if you’re getting a main and a drink… We spent $210 for 3 mains 3 drinks and a dessert so that was $70 each 😳💸

Food was decent, however i’ve had better pastas at other restaurants that don’t cost $37… i understand that you’re paying for the experience but at least make the pasta more flavourful 😭

- homemade tagaliatelle - this was not bad, the pasta was cooked well however it was super rich and hard to finish

- rigatoni melanzana - this dish was well made, pasta wasn’t too hard and the sauce was quite flavourful. this is a really safe option if you want to get a simple dish. However i cant justify spending $36 on this…

- penne alla vodka - Pasta was great, sauce was flavourful and had lots of garlic so if you’re a fan of that i’d recommend this!

MOCKTAILS

All our mocktails were super good, i cant find the exact names of them but highly recommend their mock tails and cocktails!

DESSERT

This was the star of the meal for me⭐️⭐️⭐️ the 20 layered cake was to die for, it’s basically peanut butter filling with a really moist decadent chocolate cake! They were kind enough to send in another free cake for my friends birthday which we really appreciated ❤️

Overall i’d recommend coming to lavo for desserts and drinks, not for mains. Do make sure to get a reservation before coming as they’re usually fully booked!
