[KAOHSIUNG] It's not a hotel, more of a motel.

We have to be realistic when reviewing places. I'm not the kind to say "Hidden Gem" or "Best of something", unless it is seriously worth it to me. It becomes overused and imho too much a click bait now.

簡單生活商旅 (Simple Life Hotel) was an affordable place for a weekend in Kaohsiung but that's really all to it. I went to meet a friend over the weekend and given how expensive Kaohsiung can be on weekends, I had to settle for this place.

Rating /⭐⭐: Feels like a budget motel with good bedding

💰 Price: SGD80/night for my windowless room on a weekend. Other places were around SGD120 above. Even my Kaohsiung friend says that prices are getting out of control.

✅ : 5-10 minutes pavement to the MRT and neighbourhood eateries. Beds were very comfortable.

🤔: Iffy bathroom, tub was cracked, walls had cracked tiling, slept with light on due to the vibes I was getting from the bathroom. WiFi non-existent and the front desk tried to smoke me about connectivity. I actually knocked on my neighbouring rooms to check on WiFi and we all had the same problem.

💭 I may return to only sleep here if I'm popping by Kaohsiung again for the cheap rates but only as a last resort.
