It’s never easy dealing with binge urges especially when you’re being put in challenging/ uncomfortable situations and binge eating seems like the best friend that can comfort you through these times though after the episode you’ll feel even worst than before :’)

It feels like you’re out of control and it’s really tough to think more rationally as all your mind can fixate on is stuffing yourself with food.

First of all, if this is something that you’re struggling with, you’re not alone.

I’ve always tried my best to hide this part of me as I felt it brought so much shame, frustration, anger, disappointment and dissatisfaction.

After many years of struggling with this alone, I decided that it’s enough and I’m tired of doing this again and again and again.

I know that my loved ones are around for me to open up to them though I did not do so for a long time.

When I finally did, it was really, really tough at first and I felt SO vulnerable.

But I’m glad I did.

Ask yourself these 3 questions when you feel binge urges are coming/ came:

1. Are you eating enough?

2. Is there a sense of deprivation, was there a food rule that was broken?

3. Something happened that triggered a sense of shame?

Accept the fact that you might not know the reason too.
