had the absolute privilege to experience a private dinner in a dome at The Summerhouse for my birthday dinner and wanted to share my experience!!

The Summerhouse is such a pretty place near Seletar air base and they often host solemnisations/wedding ceremonies. they have 4 concepts — botanico, which specialises in Asian gastronomy and grill, wildseed cafe and bar, and their garden domes.

when we arrived, we were led to our private dome amongst lush greenery and strings of fluorescent lights. service was efficient and the staff were rlly friendly although i could tell they were exhausted from running around the compound — there was a wedding happening that night so that was probs why

food was so good?? we had 5 courses, bread with a side of avocado and truffle garlic spread, and our choice of wine.

my favourite courses were the first and second because i love my burrata and parma ham,, and the octopus in the second course was a smoky chef’s kiss. for our main course we all went for the steak which i enjoyed but felt the meat could have been tastier and it was kindaaa tough for medium rare.

the mousse dessert was so rich and decadent,, chocolate lovers y’all would die. but we were all super full when dessert came so we really took our time w it. i was also served a complimentary bday slice of red velvet cake which was really nice 🫶🏼

overall was such a satisfying meal and i felt so full! both my heart and belly :-) the experience was definitely definitely pricey which is why i’m super grateful, but it’s a wonderful option for a very special occasion!!
