Are you properly vaccinated? 🤔

Apart from COVID vaccine, here are some vaccinations that you should get if you have yet to take them! 😜

1️⃣ Flu Vaccine:

- Reduces risk of getting Influenza, a contangious respiratory illness which can lead to death if severe.

- Recommended to take a yearly shot as every year the flu jab includes the new strains! 😉

2️⃣ Varicella Vaccine:

- Reduces risk of getting chickenpox, if you have yet to be contracted with it when you are young.

- 2 doses (4-8 weeks apart) are needed, it’s a live vaccine so you don’t need to renew the shots after you taken them!

3️⃣ HPV Vaccine:

- Reduces risk of getting cervical cancer, which is super important for females! (You can read more on my lemon8 post about cervical cancer)

- 2-3 doses required, depending on your age and the entire course takes about 6 months to complete (first to 2nd dose = 4 weeks interval, 2nd to 3rd dose = 8 weeks interval)

- Males can take too! I have seen males taking HPV vaccine as a prevention. 😉

4️⃣ Tetanus vaccine:

- Reduces risk of getting infected tetanus bacteria when you get an open cut/wound (regardless how deep the cut is)

- Tetanus bacteria can cause high intentsive care which may result in death

- I would recommend those with pets (especially cats as they do scratch often) to take a tetanus booster!

- This vaccine stays in our body for about 10 years, so usually a doctor will recommend you to take if yours is not up to date and you suffer from a cut.

⚠️ Always remember that these vaccinations are a way to REDUCE your risk of getting infected BUT they are NOT prevention of the diseases, you may still get infected so always take good care of yourself!! 🥺
