When & where to find cherry blossoms in Taipei 🌸

Yes, Taiwan has cherry blossoms too! When we think of cherry blossoms, we often only think of Japan and South Korea, both of which are expensive to fly to during cherry blossom season — which is why Taiwan is my favourite place to view cherry blossoms.

🌸 LOHAS Park

📝: LOHAS Park is a popular cherry blossom viewing spot for locals who are not keen on travelling out of Taipei city

🌸 Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall

📍: Xinyi District, Section 5, Xinyi Rd, Taipei City, Taiwan 110

📝: One of the most insanely popular places to witness a sea of pink. I didn't manage to go in my last trip, but it's definitely on my list!

🌸 Random parks around Taipei

📝: You'd be surprised by how often these pink trees are littered around Taipei! They might not be the most spectacular viewing spots, but it's always a joy to spot a speck of pink amongst boring green trees 🤭

📷 BEST VIEWING TIME: Cherry blossoms are known to bloom throughout Taiwan from January to April. Although I was there in end-Feb, the flowers were only beginning to bloom 🥲 I believe my photos would've turned out much better if I were there just one week later, but that's the beauty of cherry blossom.

Climate change makes it increasingly difficult to predict the blooming patterns; that said, February to March will be your best bet.
