My home aesthetic described in 3️⃣ words

It’s so hard for me to put my design style into words, but if I had to choose 3, they would be retro, beachy and eclectic.

I am really drawn to the retro color palette. The warmer browns, oranges, reds. Plus, so much vintage being sold is very mid-century mod and retro, which I clearly have a lot of in my home. I love the curvy shapes, the fuzzy textures and vintage vibe that comes with this design aesthetic.

I am a strong believer that where you live massively impacts your design aesthetic. I can assure you that if I lived back home in England (where I’m from) my house would not be THIS beachy. But because it’s our lifestyle and our proximity to the ocean, we are really influenced by coastal style and the surf culture. It feels natural to fill our home with things that most represent who we are and what we love. And we LOVE the beach.

Eclectic is the perfect word to describe my style, because I seriously could never commit to one. I am always drawn to so many different aesthetics, and love to really play on mis-matching styles. It would be boring if my home all looked the same.
