Having an apartment on your own can be hard and cause a lot of nervous and anxious thoughts. For me, I thought it had to be “perfect”- that if I had an apartment it had to be an “aesthetic” in every aspect right off the bat. But the reality is that if you’re working full time to support yourself, you won’t have the energy to clean and cook every single day.

Really, as long as your place isn’t covered in trash and crawling with bugs, there’s no reason for you to stress. Who’s really seeing your place aside from the close people in your life? All that matters is that this is your home and you should feel comfortable.

Define your own idea of comfortable.
