For the ones who feel left behind in life...

While I'm not soaring high with every aspect of my life, I think I'm doing okay enough for my own standards. In my early 20s, I used to be hopping from one thing to another or to whatever that brought me excitement in life. I was single, I travelled multiple times a year, worked my hats off for the next big thing in my part-time jobs. For a while then, I was contented with life even if I was tired from doing everything.

As adulthood crept up, I was busy with my timeline of events; getting engaged, got married, bought a house, adopted cats, keeping up with the bills. Now that my life has slowed down a lot, I'm not sure what's the next big thing for me.

As much as I want to be normal, like everybody else, the truth remains that I am not like everybody else. Things that my peers want, I don't really have an interest with. Honestly, I would like to just have a tiny house in the middle of the woods with the four seasons, have a chicken coop, some goats & garden my own produce for a living. The only way for me to do this is to move out of Singapore. But I just got my home & I love my home. My roots are here, but my soul is wandering.

Perhaps in time, I will find my path to life. For now, I'm still searching.
