Here are simple shifts that you can implement in your morning routine to start the day right. ✨
1. Adequate sleep: establish a regular sleep schedule and aim for 7-9 hours of quality sleep per night. Poor sleep habits can lead to increased cortisol levels.
2. Limit caffeine intake- excessive caffeine intake can elevate cortisol levels if too much is consumed and try avoiding having it first thing when you wake up- try drinking a glass a water first or having your breakfast/some type of food first.
3. Balanced breakfast- nutrition has an influence on cortisol levels for better or worse so it’s important to eat a balanced breakfast with whole foods that will in turn help improve your mental and gut health!
