Something strange I realised is I don’t always pay attention to the lyrics when I listen to a song. I can like something simply because I heard it playing on the speaker during a moment in time, a moment I find meaningful or nostalgic, even if the lyrics don’t add up. Some breakup songs sound happy to me, while some happy songs sound sad to me.
